How to Edit Text in SendSites

By Declan · Updated May 2026

Use the inline formatting toolbar to style copy, add links, and insert personalization tokens anywhere in your SendSite.

Every text block in SendSites has a contextual formatting toolbar that appears the moment you select text. Use it to style copy, add links, and drop in personalization tokens that fill in automatically for each recipient.

Click into the text block you want to edit

Click directly on the section containing the copy you want to change. The block enters edit mode and your cursor becomes active inside it.

Select the text you want to format

Highlight the word, phrase, or sentence you want to change. The floating formatting toolbar appears above your selection.

Apply basic styling

Use the toolbar to apply Bold, Italic, Underline, or Strikethrough. This is useful for calling out deal terms, key dates, or property inclusions you want the reader to notice.

Add a hyperlink

Click the link icon and paste the URL you want to attach to the selected text. Use this to link out to menus, transportation schedules, local guidebooks, or anything else hosted outside your SendSite.

Insert personalization tokens

Click the personalization icon (the person/tag icon) to open the dropdown of smart tokens. You can insert recipient first name, last name, email, or company, as well as agent first name, last name, email, or mobile phone. Each token fills in automatically based on who you’re sending to.

Tip

Personalization tokens are evaluated at send time, so the same template stays clean and reusable across every prospect.

Use Select All or Clear Formatting when you need to reset

At the end of the toolbar, Select All highlights every piece of text inside the active block, and Clear Formatting strips inline styles so you can start clean. These are useful when copy has been pasted in from another source and the formatting is inconsistent.

Confirming your changes

Click anywhere outside the block to exit edit mode. Your formatting and personalization tokens are saved as you go, and tokens will render with live recipient and agent values once the SendSite is sent.
