How to Use Proposal Sections in SendSites
By Declan · Updated May 2026
Learn what each proposal section does in SendSites so you can structure information logically and build visually engaging layouts for buyers.
Proposal sections are the building blocks you stack inside a SendSite. Knowing what each one does makes it faster to lay out a proposal that reads cleanly and showcases the property well. Use this article as a reference when you’re deciding which section to drop into a zone.
Use Document List for downloadable files
The Document List section gives you a clean interface for cataloging downloadable attachments — contract PDFs, banquet menus, site guidelines, and similar reference material. Use it whenever the buyer needs to take something away from the proposal.
Use Image Gallery for multiple photos
The Image Gallery renders a structured grid of photos inside a single zone. It’s the right choice for showing several venue spaces, guest rooms, or event setups side by side without making each one its own section.
Use Location Map to pin venues and landmarks
The Location Map embeds an interactive Google Map directly in the proposal. Pin the property, nearby convention centers, or local landmarks so planners can orient themselves at a glance.
Use Video to embed promotional reels
The Video section embeds standard online video links inside a block. Use it for property flyovers, sizzle reels, or chef and venue walkthroughs that benefit from motion and sound.
Use Placeholder Section to pull from your library
The Placeholder Section mimics the main block toolbar from inside a zone, letting you pull pre-saved sections straight out of your library without dragging assets down from the top menu. It’s a time-saver when you’re assembling a proposal from existing content.
Placeholder indicators are visible in the editor but hidden from the buyer’s live view.
Use Single Image for a bold standalone visual
The Single Image section displays an edge-to-edge photo or carousel slideshow with no accompanying body text. Reach for it when one strong image carries the message — a hero shot of the ballroom, the resort exterior, or a signature dish.
Use Text with Large Photo Top for image-led storytelling
Text with Large Photo Top places a dominant image or rolling slideshow above your written description. The layout leads with the visual and supports it with copy underneath — useful for venue introductions and feature spotlights.
Use Text with Photo Left or Right for balanced layouts
Text with Photo Left and Text with Photo Right are traditional two-column layouts. A structured photo frame or slideshow sits to one side of your text block, which keeps longer descriptions readable while still giving the visual real estate.
Mixing sections for a polished proposal
Combining these sections — rather than relying on a single layout throughout — gives your proposal a premium web feel and keeps the buyer scrolling. As you build, alternate dense text sections with image-led ones, and lean on the Placeholder Section to reuse the layouts your team has already perfected in the library.
